We’re a small crew, and we like it that way. Every gate repair in San Antonio gets handled by someone you can name, not a rotating cast of subcontractors. Nico built this team around a simple idea: hire people who would fix a gate the same way they’d fix their own, then give them the tools and time to do it. Between us we’ve seen just about everything the San Antonio heat, limestone soil, and mesquite roots can throw at a gate system. Here’s who shows up when you call (361) 314-4803.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Nico Alvarez, Owner & Lead Gate Technician
Nico founded the San Antonio location after years of watching gate companies treat repairs like a guessing game. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule openers, which means he diagnoses by testing, not by swapping parts until something works. His favorite job is the one where another company already “fixed” it twice. Outside of gates, he’s restoring a 1972 Ford F-100 and will talk your ear off about carburetors if you let him.
Marcus T., Senior Installer
Marcus has been hanging and aligning gates for over a decade, and he’s the one Nico sends when a gate has to clear a slope, a root, or a San Antonio drainage dip that makes everyone else scratch their head. He holds welding certifications and handles the steel work on-site, so a cracked frame or a broken hinge post doesn’t mean waiting on a third party. On weekends he coaches youth baseball in the Harlandale area and claims the dugout teaches better communication than any job site meeting.
Lena R., Service Coordinator
Lena is the live voice on the phone at 3 a.m. when your gate is stuck open and your dog has opinions about it. She’s not a call center and she’s not a script. She knows the difference between a stuck limit switch and a stripped gear just from what you describe, and she’ll book the right tech with a trackable arrival time, not a four-hour window. Before Calder, she ran dispatch for a plumbing company in the Medical Center area. She keeps a binder of every gate we’ve ever serviced, because a gate with a history is a gate that gets fixed faster.
Danny V., Apprentice Technician
Danny is two years into his apprenticeship and is the guy handing tools, running diagnostics, and learning the hard lessons about tension from gate springs rather than YouTube. He’s working through his welding certs and rides a fixed-up Kawasaki to job sites around the South Side. He’s also the reason our trucks are always stocked: Danny loads the van like we’re about to do three jobs, because in San Antonio, sometimes we are.
One Standard, Every Job
Every one of us, from Nico to Danny, works under the same written rules. The 365-Day Done Right Promise. A written price before any work starts, so the invoice matches the quote, always. A written guarantee on every repair. And a free second visit if a repair fails within 365 days. That’s not a speech we give in the morning; it’s printed on every job and it’s the reason we can hand you a digital invoice before we leave, with before-and-after photos and a payment link, like the Relay Standard across the network demands. No vague promises, no “we’ll see what we can do.” Just the same five people accountable to the same standard, every gate, every neighborhood, every time.
